The Big Idea...

Hey guys, here we go again!

You have that idea going around in your mind, it doesn't let you sleep, rest, or watch TV. In fact, it's the only thing you think about.

It can be a new product, a business or you're just simply studying and getting prepared for when the opportunity comes.

Sometimes we are to naive and think that everything has to be perfect in order for us to start a business, but 90% of the business owners I know, started their businesses by accident, in fact most of them were in a desperate situation, without a job or money in the bank, but they had an idea, one "aha" moment, that was all they needed.

One of the most successful entrepreneurs I know was living in a college dorm with his wife and their first child. He was a "hustler" playing pool to earn a few bucks and out of work. One day someone offered him a job as a door to door salesman, selling cheap English courses.

He tells me "Elliott, that was my school, knocking door to door to make some sales". One day a customer told him, that he was really good at selling and told him that he should become a realtor. There was the big idea!

He checked out what he had to do, studied, and passed the realtor's test, he started working for a company, but he knew he wanted more, so he decided to open his own Real State company. Little by little he started getting more realtors to see his "Big Idea".

When the economy went down in 2007, he saw what was happening and became an expert in foreclosures, and offered his services to two local banks, but they refused to work with him at the time. A year later things were out of control for those two banks and when they called him, his answer was "I will help you, but your house inventory is exclusively mine".

He started buying properties at very low prices and renting them, mortgaged the properties at full price and saved the money in the bank, after more than a hundred rented houses, he pays off on house a month with the rent of all the houses. His big idea, he tells me "recurred income", keep receiving money every month without looking for new customers. From "pool hustler", to a millionaire in 10 years.

Like him, you may be dreaming about a new business, it may be baking cakes, a children day care, a lawn maintenance company, or a mechanic shop, what ever it is, you need a plan and you need help. Get to know people that have businesses and are successful they usually like to give advice, and listen to what they say, they have been there and made it to the other side.

Businesses are like a baby, they need constant attention and supervision, thats why you need all the help you can get.
